From Mr. Stallings
April 12, 2010,
Dear Parent/Guardians:
Thanks to all the parents who came out and supported Breakfast with the Easter Bunny. We had plenty of good food and lots of laughs. The K-2 teachers made over $300.00 to purchase books for their classrooms
Thanks to all that supported our annual Toy and Tractor Show on April 9th and 10th. It was well attended and enjoyed by all .There was a lot of interesting toys and tractors for viewing.
April will be a short month with the Spring Break behind us. We hope you enjoyed your break, but we will be busy once we return to school. Our CAT tests, field trips, softball games and the TIC Tournament will make April go quickly.
We need to remind you that early registration for the 2010-2011 school year is until April 30th. This will save you $100.00 on registration.
We are currently taking registration for all K-5 students who need summer care beginning June 1st, 2010. You may pick up an application in the office.

CAT Testing
We hope that everyone had a wonderful and safe spring break. Now that we are back at school, we have a very busy week with CAT testing. Please be sure to get plenty of rest, eat a good breakfast, and bring at least two #2 pencils! Good luck everyone!

Computer
So recently on TV I've seen a lot of those "Is your PC running slowly? Buy this!" commercials. This saddens me for two reasons, one being that people actually buy this stuff, and two is that people don't even acknowledge the free options. First off, if your PC is running slowly chances are there's a better option than burning a pile of money on some useless software. It also doesn't mean you need to buy a new PC/hire tech help/throw it out of a window, it means you need to download AVG 9 Free, CCleaner, and Defraggler (The latter two are both made by Piriform). AVG 9 Free is your basic anti-virus/spy ware/malware/
what-have-you, it's just an all around effective tool. CCleaner is basically a Swiffer for your PC (but not a Swiffer Wet-Jet, those things are horrible), it cleans out registry errors old useless files, and temporary files. Defraggler on the other hand is a defragging tool and I know what you're thinking "But wait! Windows already has one of those!". Well you're right, it does, and Defraggler is a lot like the windows defragging tool except with around 183% less suck. It runs in around a two-thirds the time of the windows tool, and even has more options to customize how it runs. Just let these three do their job and your PC should be back to usual in no time.
